The Artic Weather Satellite – ESA’s New Space approach for earth observation
“The instrument will provide high-resolution humidity and temperature soundings of the atmosphere in all weather conditions” (ESA).
The implementation of the ACST 89GHz direct detection receiver has successfully been fulfilled in cooperation with AAC Omnisys and the prime contractor OHB Sweden.
The satellite has passed final tests and is now prepared for launch in June/July this year.
