“Fingerprint” information in mm-wave/THz frequency range is also used in Medicine and other Biotechnologies for instance, in diagnostic of cancer cellules or concentration of nitrides in an apple from a supermarket.
Such approaches are just under development but are extremely exciting for future Medicine and Biotechnologies. Lab-on-Chip systems are under way to broad application areas.
